13 Year Old Steal Mom’s Car,Go On A 650-mile Joyride

When Catherine Johnson discovered that her 13-year-old son and his friend had taken her car for a ride, she didn’t expect the pair to evade authorities for more than 650 miles. Cole Johnson and Raheem Harris took the BMW Saturday morning from Columbus, Ohio, and traveled as far as Kansas City, Mo., before the police apprehended them sleeping in an alley on Monday.

Catherine Johnson believes the pair were headed for California, but what really has her scratching her head is how long it took the police to find them. “How it went on for two days and no one noticed boggles my mind,” she said. She has filed a complaint over how the case was handled. [Source]
