Agyemang Badu Wants To Be Asamoah’s Replacement At Udinese

Agyemang-Badu 2012 AFCONMidfielder Emmanuel Agyemang-Badu wants to continue the tradition of Ghanaians players who have sparkled for Udinese. Ex-Ghana internationals Mohammed Gargo and Stephen Appiah flourished for the Little Zebras before Sulley Muntari’s successful seven-year spell.

Agyemang-Badu has become the only Ghanaian left at the Fruili after compatriot Kwadwo Asamoah left for Juventus.  The versatile midfielder cannot boast of the technical qualities of Asamoah but believes he has the same desire and ambitions to take after him.

“Now it’s my turn, I will be the new Asamoah. I’m ready, I just think about working,” Agyemang-Badu said.

“The secret is to train at 100%. The two years here helped me to learn the language of football and I am sure that will be fine. ”

Badu missed the second half of last season after a knee injury at the 2012 Africa Cup of Nations ended his season.
