Samsung and Rovio are bringing Angry Birds onto TV screens with the launch of a game app for the chaebol’s smart TVs. However, you will need to own the higher-end ES7000-, ES8000- and ES9000-series 3D TVs to play Angry Birds. This is because the app is designed to leverage on the Smart Interaction technology of these panels, enabling users to sling shot and control the angry birds utilizing a combination of gesture and voice commands. The game will probably be available throughout Asia, though Samsung is unable to provide further information on availability.
For those of you without a Samsung TV, Angry Birds will also be making its way to the Sony PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360 consoles. If you can’t wait to play the addictive game on your giant TV, there is always the Aztech PlayXtreme Android settop box that is preloaded with Angry Birds Rio.
