The Miners have a unique opportunity to cap off a spirited second half of the season display in the Ghanaian top flight by winning a silverware when they clash with New Edubiase on Sunday.
And the CEO has raised the stakes by assuring the club fans of leading the side to trophy success after a 16-year trophy drought.
“There will be no excuse to give to our supporters if we fail to bring the cup,” Fianoo said at a charged press conference on Wednesday.
“It is a different ball game all together when you are dealing with an old fox ( referring to AshGold).
“We know what should be done and I am sure by the end of 90 minutes the result will be there for all to see.”
If successful, it will be the first piece of silverware won by the Obuasi-based club since winning the Premier League and Gala in the 1995/96 season. The winner of Sunday’s final at the Accra Sports Stadium will win the Ghc 25000 up for grabs and will also represent Ghana in next season’s CAF Confederations Cup.
