The controversial figure believes Francis Oti Akenteng has not done enough in the role and needs an experienced personality like him to restructure grassroots football.
The ex-Hearts of Oak player says he will focus on ensuring primary school children have greater accessibility to technical skills development.
He claims he has the knack to develop and implement recommendations from the FA Youth development review, with the key objective of bringing through better players and coaches to aid the national team.
“I need to be made the Technical Director of the GFA because I have the requisite know-how to handle the position well,” Polo told Accra-based Happy FM
“I just have to be assessed of what I have been saying all this while. I need to be the man in charge at that level. My technical direction will help. We should have a practical technical direction. Oti Akenteng is well-educated but the job is not only about school.
“We need someone who has can manage the practical aspect of the job and I am the right man,”
