Gas prices in Rhode Island keep falling and Cranston has some of the lowest gas prices in the state. AAA Southern New England’s weekly report on gas prices shows the average price of a regular gallon of gas is now $3.51 — a decrease of three cents from last week.
Prices, which have fallen 46 cents since mid-April, are expected to continue to fall. In Cranston, you can pay as little as $3.31 for a gallon of regular unleaded fuel. According to Mapquest Gas Prices, the Cumberland Farms on Reservoir Avenue is selling it for $3.31.
“Let’s hope it gets below $3 per gallon,” said Carl Jones, who was filling up his car at the Shell station on Reservoir Avenue yesterday. “I feel like half my paycheck is going into the gas tank these days.”
