Kaakie, one of the very newly known sensational and influential female artiste known for her hit singles “Too Much” and “Toffee Pon Tongue”, has declared that she shall all times stand by full figured women (a.k.a fat women or Obolobo in local parlance) and be an advocacy for them in all times. She made this passionate view known to the public during an interview with Focus fm (K.N.U.S.T)’s Kobby Drill over the weekend.
When dancehall queen, Kaakie a.k.a “Queen Diva”, was asked about the concept behind her two hit singles “Too Much” and “Toffee Pon Tongue” which was all produced by ace beat maker Jam Master Jay (JMJ), she stated that her first single “Too Much” was just to describe everything about her. Host of the show, Kobby Drill, wanted to know more about what she meant by “everything about her”, “Is it in terms of body side, talent or what?”
The “Queen Diva” said her song was to describe everything about her from head to toe, and that she was “too much”. She also added that, her second single, “Toffee Pon Tongue” was basically made for Plump women and that they are sweet like toffee on tongue, exactly what the title of the song meant. She continued by saying that full figured women should never feel bad about their body size and that regardless of whoever they are, they are sweet.
Kaakie, who herself, has a figure most men will chase for all their lives, poured out her feelings for plump women and how they are sometimes ridiculed in the society and pledged to go all out to be a strong advocacy for them if she is given the avenue.
Getting to the close of the interview, she was asked if she was dating, and surprisingly, she responded in the negative. The host being curious, wanted to know why she was single, and she blamed it on a tight schedule of school-work-home which did not give her that much time to hang around with folks and probably get hooked. She also opened up entries for potential gentlemen who could handle a “Queen Diva” kind of her type to come on board.
Kaakie, who once featured in stars of the future, is signed onto the High Grade Family, owned by Samini and would very soon be unleashing a new single this week so her fans should watch out.
