Kenya Airways apologized to a female passenger and refunded the cost of her air ticket after she was forced to sit next to man who had passed away on a flight in Amsterdam.
‘Lena Pettersson, a journalist with Radio Sweden, boarded a flight in Amsterdam and immediately noticed the man next to her was unwell.
“He was sweating and having seizures,” she told Sverigesradio.se. “Air hostesses were there all along, but the plane took off anyway.”’
Flight attendants asked for anyone with medical experience to help the man. Although some aid was given, the man unfortunately died.
Apparently there were not many areas the man’s body could be moved to so Pettersson was basically forced to sit next to him.
“Of course it was unpleasant, but I am not a person who makes a fuss,” she said, according to The Local.
Pettersson later asked Kenya Airways for some compensation and they refunded about half her ticket price, or $715.
