When OMG!Ghana first broke the news of the coming of Keri Hilson and Sean Kingston to Ghana exactly two weeks before its official announcement by event organisers IMAJIN Advertising,it was met with disdain as critics said these two acts could not rock.Sean Kingston for some unknown reasons couldn’t make it and was replaced with YMCMB signee Bow Wow.But believe you me,these two American acts rocked.
The corrupted version of GMT (Greanwich Mean Time) by Ghanaians to “GhanaMan Time” reared its ugly head as the show started later than expected.Hosts James Gardener And Sassy Actress Tonto Dikeh were on point and put up a show to the letter.
The Show couldn’t have started in a much better way as Chemphe’s message in his peace song got down well with the audience who were all hyper for the party. His Number One song however took the ladies on a roller coaster ride. This was after a nice Choreography led by Kobi Rana.
The Excellent LED display didn’t go unnoticed since it was scintillating.Kaakie the ‘Too Much’ Girl’s motorbike entry was applauded by all and then her performance,a five star rating!!! Much can’t be said of Rana’s performance and ‘Mr. Cupid Video Premiere’ since creativity and unpredictability has become a hallmark they hold dear to their heart.
The Thumbs up would definitely go to the trinity Edem,Kwaw Kese and Guru who stole the show and performed like never before. To them, sharing the stage would send the peace message across in a more pressing manner. They took turns to perform their songs back-to back. The funniest of their time on stage was when Kwaw Kese tried the Azonto dance.Something Hostess Tonto Dikeh from nigeria even did better.
B-U-K B-A-K ….as it is spelt took the crowed back into the days with their hits like,’Kakatsofa, chingilingi and U for Know’ and then they finally performed what the crowed yearned for…. ‘Kolom’.
Conspicuously missing was the sexy, sassy MzBel who was billed to perform on the night.Mzbel however did not show up after she had been called onto the stage several times.
You could see the excitement at the VIP part of the dome.Gracefully shared by African Best Actor Majid Michel,Actress Lydia Forson,Musiga President Obour, Xfm Host Nana Mensah just to mention few.
Then came the ladies Man BOW WOW a.k.a Bow Wizzle the Young Money Protégée who got the whole place alive with a close to Two hour performance which got the ladies in the building going Gaga. His security men according to some of the guys standing just by the stage were intimidating. If Bow Wow was brought to Ghana to Rock the stage for money, then he gave the crowd a worth of their money.
After a long wait, the crowd went impatient all because the most important person in the dome at that moment was nowhere in sight. After waiting a little more, The ‘No Boys Allowed’ crooner appeared on stage. To the amusement of all, she turned up with a microphone moulded in the form of a gun.All dressed in a jacket (which she later took off) and just a leather pant. Keri performed hit after hit. As expected ‘Knock you down’ got the crowd singing along. The performance was exciting and audience craved for more but like a nice movie, the show had to come to an end and it ended on a very good note. Patrons of the show called it an internationally rated show.
In the end peace won,GH stood up and called for peaceful elections. Big ups IMAJIN Advertising for the Excellent work done.
