Angel FM in Kumasi conducted a poll to determine which of the country’s former presidents was effective during his regime. Amongst the 7 ex Ghana presidents, John Agyekum Kuffour emerged as the best out of the bunch, surprisingly beating the late and Ghana’s first president Dr. Osagyefo Kwame Nkrumah.
Information reaching OMG! Ghana.Com indicates that the Kumasi station polled about 50 people from three regions, Ashanti, Brong Ahafo and Central respectively. 15 people were interviewed in each of the three regional capitals, namely Kumasi, Sunyani and Cape Coast, whilst five were interviewed in the Obuasi Municipality.
President Kuffour secured a whooping 60% of the poll with Dr. Kwame Nkrumah taking the second place while Rawlings and Dr. Limann followed suit. About 27 interviewees, in total, said they missed ex-President Kufuor and would have wished he was still the president of this country, whilst 12 said they preferred the late Dr. Nkrumah, with seven going for Rawlings, and one going for the late Dr. Limann.
