Lionel Messi broke Barcelona’s all-time scoring record on Tuesday, putting away two goals in the 5-3 thriller at home to gallant Granada. Messi’s brace took his Liga total to 234 goals, breaking the record established by 1950s idol Cesar.
It took Messi’s season total to 34 — one ahead of Cristiano Ronaldo of Real Madrid — the highest of his career, and a new one-season record for a Barca striker.
