Manchester United To Tour Ghana With “Champ19ns” Trophy

English premier league side and 19 times league champions, Manchester United announced on their website on January 26, 2012 that they will be touring Ghana amongst other countries to showcase their record 19th English league title won last May.

The affair is dubbed “Champ19ns” Trophy Tour. In 2011, United and its official partner DHL took the trophy around Latin America and parts of Asia, where tens of thousands of fans came out to greet the champions.

In February Ghana is among the list of countries announced for the trophy world tour. Complete touring destination is as follow : India, Thailand, Dubai, Abu Dhabi, Bahrain, Kuwait, Saudi Arabia, Turkey, China, South Korea, Japan, Vietnam, Indonesia, South Africa, Tanzania, Uganda, Kenya, Nigeria, Singapore, Germany, Norway, Denmark and the Netherlands.
