A founding member of the New Patriotic Party (NPP), Ayisi Boateng, says credible information available to him indicates that the ruling National Democratic Congress (NDC) has adopted a strategy to provoke the party’s members to make wayward statements as the December polls draw near.
He observed that NDC members had formulated a strategy of provoking members of the NPP to utter unprintable words which they (NDC) would use against them. The Kumasi-based NPP guru therefore cautioned members of his party to be wary of NDC’s tricks in order not to hand political victory on a silver platter to the ruling party.
Speaking to Omanhene of Kessben FM, Mr. Boateng noted that the NDC had realized that realistically they do not stand the chance of retaining political power this year after failing to fulfill its campaign promises. He said the NDC had decided to strategically provoke NPP members at the least opportunity to commit political blunder and urged NPP supporters to learn to control their temper.
The NPP founding member stated that “don’t allow yourself to be provoked by the NDC, you might go wayward in your response to the NDC’s provocative statements.” He observed that the NDC administration had displayed gross inefficiency at helm of state affairs, noting that the NDC does not have a message to woo the electorate.
Touching on other pertinent national issues, he bemoaned the hardships a vast majority of Ghanaians suffer under the current administration. Mr. Boateng said prices of food and all other items in the country had soared to astronomical levels, insisting that the NDC government doesn’t have the potential to deal with Ghana’s problems.
He expressed worry over the influx of Chinese nationals in the country who are destroying farm lands and water bodies through their illegal mining activities and called for an immediate stop to the development. Mr. Boateng said it was high time Ghanaians put aside all other considerations and vote the NPP to political power to restore hope in the supreme interest of mother Ghana, which now heading towards an abyss.
