Imperfect me perfected the art of lyricism

Mere human being behind the mic surpassing criticism

Now I got ‘em listening. The usual questioning. Who’s he thinking he’s being?

And it’s funny cuz there’s no defining…

I’m infinite with this creativity why I’m brand new like everyday. Fresh!

I don’t take credit for it cuz it’s the Creator not the creature who’s perfect.

I fall short in my ways but on this stage I stand taller than waves

…and tsunami’s can’t top this cuz I’m never shook. No earthquaking around me.

I’m firmly rooted like big trees. I’m African. My family is a big tree.

So I understand why all these kids got big dreams.

Tiny seeds become big trees so you’re almost stupid for hating on the dream kid.

Me not shining is like the sun coming up and its not daylight. Meaningless.

I mean almost foolishness to say when you move the left foot the right don’t follow.

I’m all about the forwardness – kinna like the Kwame Nkrumah of my generation.

So I guess now we all understand why the hating but don’t we wish they’d learn… for a change… like transformation?

For a transformation!

Great men are often met with great confrontations. Grave tribulations.

Is why I aint complaining. I’m just saying…

Why I’m the lyricist is the gift you see displaying.

I hope Africa is awake and seeing what this TL is seen retweeting.

You best believing.

There’s only silence when truth is being spoken.

Golden.

Someone tell me I didn’t just win the Olympics.

You owe me why you pay attention.
