FACEBOOK POLICE ARRESTTazewell County police were able to collar a wanted sex offender after his girlfriend ‘liked’ their page on Facebook, leading them right to their culprit.Dyllan Otto Naecher, 29, was wanted as a ‘dangerous sex offender’ who crossed state lines from Maryland to Virginia and is believed to have several gang ties.

His girlfriend, Samantha Dillow, 22, was apparently trying to keep an eye on the police department – so she ‘liked’ them on Facebook, officials said, making their search all the easier.On September 11, the Tazewell Police Department released a mugshot of Naecher on their Facebook page, which has just over 2,000 likes, in the hopes of finding the man on the run.

Describing his 5’9″ height, brown hair and blue eyes, they hoped to shake out a lead.

‘What we’re assuming is that she and her boyfriend were attempting to keep track of what we were posting on Facebook to stay ahead of us a little bit,’ Chief Deputy Major Harold Heatley told MailOnline.

Dillow and Naetcher were both arrested at her Bluefield, Virginia, home the following day.Naetcher was wanted as an unregistered sex offender after failing to report in Maryland.

‘He’s been missing since the middle of July,’ Chief Deputy Major Heatley said. ‘We believe he may have been here since then.’

Naetcher was charged with obstruction of justice and harboring a fugitive and released on her own recognizance.She has since deleted her Facebook page.
