The fab of institutions both governmental and non-governmental getting Facebook accounts, seems to have caught up with the National Sports Commission of the Nigerian Republic.
After failing to make it to the 2012 AFCON, the NSC of Nigeria, allegedly, spent 1.2Million Naira, to open a Facebook account in an attempt to connect more with its country members.
Currently, the Director General of the National Sports Commission, Mr Patrick Ekeji, has been summoned by the Nigerian House of Reps over the commission’s expenditures, including 1.2 Million Naira for a Facebook account.
I do wonder how much the Ghanaian FA spent on opening their Facebook account and all the adverts on Facebook, maybe Anas would have to look into it.
