Shooting At A & C Shopping Mall; One Dead Another Injured
According to information, on the dawn of June 4,2013, a young man later identified as Yahya Ibrahim, shot two people under very strange circumstances at the mall. One of the victims reportedly died upon arrival at the University of Ghana Hospital in legon whiles the other was treated and discharged. He has since disappeared.
Information gathered form the police indicates that 25 year old Yahya Ibrahim reported himself to the police for being responsible for the incident. He claimed that one of the victims attacked him with a broken bottle.
According to the Crime Officer at the Accra Regional Police Command, Chief Superintendent Emmanuel Frank Adufati, the Legon Police patrol team retrieved a pump action gun and cartridges on arrival at the scene of the incident after a distress call about the shooting incident at the shopping mall.
According to the police, they have launched a man-hunt for the run-away victim to help with their investigations.
The suspect who reported himself to the police has been placed on remand and is to re-appear on June 11. His plea was not taken.
